Founder and independent researcher - Coran Codex
Coran Codex is an independent project for the mathematical and computational study of the Quranic text.
Its purpose is to examine numerical, structural, and computational hypotheses using explicit datasets, reproducible procedures, statistical controls, robustness tests, and prior-art research.
Research approach
Coran Codex does not start from a desired conclusion. A claim is first turned into a defined research question, then examined against a documented corpus and explicit counting or computational rules.
Exact numerical equality alone does not demonstrate extraordinary significance. A numerical observation and a statistical conclusion are different things.
The project therefore separates:
- observation;
- deterministic verification;
- statistical analysis;
- robustness testing;
- prior art;
- interpretation.
Negative results, rejected hypotheses, fragile patterns, and previously known observations remain part of the research record where they are scientifically relevant.
Reproducibility is a central objective. Where practical, Coran Codex records the corpus, checksums, counting rules, code, parameters, random seeds, result artifacts, controls, and limitations needed to examine a result again.
What computational analysis can establish
Computational analysis can establish measurements such as exact counts, deterministic relationships, or statistical rarity under a defined model.
Those results do not by themselves establish divine origin, supernatural intention, or a theological conclusion.
Reproducing a numerical structure does not imply a theological interpretation, and failing to reproduce a claim does not constitute a judgment on the Quran.
About KASSIM Sofiane
KASSIM Sofiane is the founder of Coran Codex and a self-taught independent researcher.
The work combines programming, data processing, statistics, documentary research, and computational examination of Quranic textual structures.
There is no current affiliation with a university, religious institution, or research organization. Coran Codex is an independent research project.
No academic degree, institutional title, or external affiliation is claimed where none exists. The work is intended to be evaluated from its methods, data, reproducibility, and documented limitations.
From private research to Coran Codex
Research began privately in 2025 with textual exploration, verification of numerical claims, development of computational tools, and progressive refinement of the methodology.
In 2026, Coran Codex began making the work public progressively, after re-reviewing, documenting, and reconstructing the research record under stricter reproducibility standards.
Respect and independence
Coran Codex was not created to contradict, attack, or undermine the Quran, nor to harm or disparage the Muslim community.
The research is conducted with respect for the Quran and for the Muslim community while preserving methodological independence and critical transparency.
When a tested claim fails, the conclusion is limited to the evidence: the claim is not supported under the tested data and method. That does not imply a conclusion about the Quran itself.
Likewise, reproducing a structure does not imply supernatural intent or theological proof.
Coran Codex is not framed as a project for confirming or refuting religious belief. Its first responsibility is to state as precisely as possible what the data and methods can establish.
An evolving research program
Coran Codex is not presented as a finished theory or a completed body of research.
Results may be revised when better controls, external datasets, replication attempts, statistical models, or prior-art evidence become available.
Earlier results are not silently rewritten simply because later work changes their interpretation. Revision, rejection, and correction are part of the scientific record.
